Today a nice lady on a large farm responded to my craigslist ad and took away all 8 of the extra ducklings I had. I'm so happy for them - they'll be on a farm with 3 drakes and 3 turkeys.
Here are the two that we are keeping. Still no names. Zach's in the background checking the mail - he's trying not to get too attached to them. He has a soft spot for Indian Runners - which is the one standing upright (of course). The one on the left is a Welsh Harlequin. She's getting ready to make a poop on some legal documents here.

A big reason why we went with Metzer's is because they'll let us pick sexed ducks. When you go with your local feed store, sometimes the ducks are sexed, most of the time they're not. I've heard Metzer's ducks are generally not show quality, and their Indian Runners don't stand up too straight, but I have to say, this one's standing up pretty nice and tall.
